From June 5th to 11th, Swiss wines took center stage in New York City for the second edition of Swiss Wine Week. Swiss vintages were in the spotlight for a week through a partnership with Switzerland Tourism, featuring a promotional video about Swiss wines displayed on Times Square. In collaboration with the Consulate General of Switzerland in New York, Switzerland Tourism, Lavaux Wine Bar, World Wine Guys, and Christy Canterbury - Master of Wine, tastings and workshops were organized for wine enthusiasts and professionals.
For the second consecutive year, Swiss wines were invited to New York from June 5th to 11th. As part of the collaboration between Swiss Wine Promotion (SWP) and Switzerland Tourism, a promotional video was displayed on the iconic Times Square with the slogan, "We need more diversity, we need Switzerland." As part of this partnership, a public tasting was held at Lavaux Wine Bar. The event was a great success with over 100 attendees.
The festivities continued with a masterclass conducted by Mike De Simone and Jeff Jenssen from World Wine Guys, as well as a workshop led by SWP and sommelier Kristen Goceljak at the CrownShy restaurant.
The week concluded with a tasting dinner at the Consulate General of Switzerland in New York, hosted by Consul General Niculin Jäger. The wine presentation was conducted by Christy Canterbury, Master of Wine.
